Openings for services will vary significantly depending on the service being sought, the type of insurance being used, and the schedule needs that clients may have. Unfortunately, there are limited openings for many of our services at this time. Although we will do our best to ensure the details below remain current, please be aware that availability is subject to change and we cannot guarantee if or when providers may have openings.

WHAT TYPE OF EVALUATIONS/ TESTING DO YOU OFFER?

Assessments for diagnostic purposes in order to investigate potential symptoms of Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD), Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), or Learning Disorders.

Gifted testing to determine potential eligibility for gifted school services.

OPENINGS AVAILABLE FOR THE FOLLOWING INSURANCE (IN-NETWORK):
- Tricare Select or Prime (If Prime, Referral from PCM MUST be in place first)
- Aetna commercial plans
- Cigna
- Florida Blue Cross Blue Shield (FL BCBS; though availability may vary at times, please reach out for more information)
- Availability for other BCBS plans may vary; please reach out for more information
- Self-Pay (not using insurance)

UNABLE TO ACCEPT THE FOLLOWING INSURANCE (NOT IN-NETWORK; LIST IS NOT EXHAUSTIVE):
- United
- Medicare/Medicaid plans (including Florida Healthy Kids, KidCare, etc.)

TIMELINE:
- Intakes for diagnostic testing generally available in approximately 2- to 4- months
- Gifted testing generally available within approximately 1 month

IMPORTANT NOTE:
- Testing is only performed at our Southpoint office
- Please check with your insurance before scheduling testing to ensure you understand the potential cost related to this service under your plan, as well as any limitations and exclusions; deductibles often apply to testing services for commercial insurance plans.
- Gifted testing is not covered by insurance and is self-pay only ($500.00)
- Academic testing is typically not covered by most commercial insurances and will likely require some out of pocket costs

WHAT TYPE OF THERAPY/ COUNSELING DO YOU OFFER?

Individual or family therapy with a psychologist, mental health counselor, or mental health intern.

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Behavioral Therapy (parent training), and ‘talk’ therapy with a counselor.

Therapy available to help treat symptoms of anxiety, mild depression, ADHD, oppositional defiant disorder (ODD), and to help address concerns related to coping with daily stressors, parent-teen relationships, social/peer challenges, and school struggles.

Although our therapists are highly trained in their areas of expertise, please be aware that our available providers are not able to provide therapy for the following: eating disorders, self-harm, suicidal ideation, severe depression, bipolar disorder, or divorce/high conflict separations. Our therapists do NOT participate in legal proceedings or custody disputes.

- Intakes for mental health therapy/counseling generally available in approximately 1- to 2- months

IMPORTANT NOTE:
- Therapy openings are only available with our pre-licensed supervised counselors/Registered Mental Health Interns (RMHI) at this time
- Services provided by these individuals are unable to be submitted for reimbursement under out-of-network benefits under Tricare, non-Florida BCBS plans, or any out of network insurance plan.
- We are unable to offer a waitlist for therapy services at this time.
- Afternoon and evening openings are typically the most sought after time slots and therefore fill up the fastest; please be aware that after-school openings may be limited.
- We do our best to offer appointments closest to your zip code; however, we will offer you the next opening that is available and cannot guarantee availability at your office location of choice.

WHAT IS ABA AND HOW IS IT PROVIDED?

Behavioral treatment using ABA principals to treat symptoms of Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) to increase communication and social skills and reduce the use of maladaptive coping and disruptive behaviors.

ABA provided in the clinic setting only at our Mandarin office (32223).

ABA is an intensive therapy; services are provided for no less than 6 hrs/wk, up to 35 hrs/wk.

Services provided by Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBA), Board Certified Assistant Behavior Analysts (BCaBA), and Registered Behavior Technicians (RBT).

ABA therapy is only covered by insurance under the diagnosis of ASD.

UNFORTUNATELY, WE HAVE A WAITLIST FOR THE FOLLOWING IN-NETWORK INSURANCE:

UNABLE TO ACCEPT THE FOLLOWING INSURANCE (NOT IN-NETWORK; LIST IS NOT EXHAUSTIVE):

- Medicare/Medicaid plans (including Florida Healthy Kids, KidCare, etc.)

TIMELINE:
- Intakes for ABA available in approximately 1- to 2- months (for non-waitlisted plans)
- Waitlist is anticipated to open in approximately August 2024; we cannot guarantee availability to be placed on the waitlist, the number of openings that may become available, or an exact time that openings will become available

IMPORTANT NOTE:
- ABA is only provided in our Mandarin clinic location (32223); in-home and in-school ABA is not available at this time.
- Because we have licensed psychologists on staff in addition to our ABA team members, you may not need a referral before scheduling services. Often our psychologists will conduct the initial intake interview and submit the authorization request for you; however, you must provide a copy of the evaluation that identifies the diagnosis of Autism.
- Please check with your insurance before scheduling an intake for ABA to ensure you understand the potential cost related to this service under your plan, as well as any limitations and exclusions; deductibles often apply to ABA for commercial insurance plans.
- Insurance only covers ABA under the diagnosis of Autism. You must provided a copy of the comprehensive evaluation before your first appointment. Insurance may have specific requirements for what must be included as part of the diagnostic evaluation before covering ABA. Please ensure you understand what is required for coverage.
- Unfortunately, due to the intensive nature of ABA, self-pay options are NOT available.
